Cowes for a location

Cowes on the Isle of Wight is the perfect location for practising old skills or learning new ones.

Cowes is on a headland, with the direction of the prevailing winds and unique tides of the Solent we can always find an area to use for your training requirements.

There is shelter for new skills and for the more experienced even a few tidal over falls at our disposal should you require them.

It's no accident that Cowes week, the biggest sailing regatta in the world, happens here.

There are frequent trains from London Waterloo to Southampton Central with a journey time of approximately 1hr 20mins. From Southampton Central you can catch the FREE bus service (that runs every 15mins from outside the station) to the Red Funnel Hi Speed ferry service to West Cowes at Town Quay. We recommend this service as Red Funnel's West Cowes terminal is 5 minute walk from Shepard's Wharf Marina. The Hi-Speed Red Jet to West Cowes operates every 30 minutes, normally 15 and 45 past the hour although check the timetable as times can vary.

Car Ferry - Southampton - Cowes
